In the beginning…

Remembering that NI-Limits set-out in life with every intention of introducing clustered networking-business-model-grids by utilizing and incubating emerging technologies targeted to every demographic within niche markets and preconditioned geographical locations; we are able to more easily put things into perspective and openly admit that we have a long way to go!

Had we focused our entire effort into any single product that we develop, we could have gone public with said product, but by doing so, we would have been locked-in and our foundations would not have been secured in a way that speaks to the very nature of scalable enterprises and the clustered technologies that support them.

We are a digital design and web management company.

As such, we are not a traditional start-up in the strictest sense, especially since we develop business intelligent enterprise level core systems for internal use only, an obvious contradiction to the myopic “users rule all, so let’s get it done” drive of other companies that continue rushing towards that one idea that they think they have.

We are in the process of starting-up an entire network of start-ups; and because of this, it is also clear that we are not a stereotypical web-design agency either.

So what are we?

Let us say that we are a family.  A group of talented and incredibly hard-working thinkers working together within a corporate environment that promotes individuality and creativity, as well as the humane consolidation of personal and social interaction.

It sounds strange, but it really is that simple.

Organizational form, as opposed to the freelancing tendencies of traditional start-ups and single focused design agencies is what effectively sustains our opportunities for growth.  It is with this stable structure and clear understanding of what lies ahead, and exactly when and how we will do the various things that need to be done that allows us to be who we are.

In essence, we are a think-tank that specializes in servicing the needs of the very businesses that we create.  We hire the right people for the right roles, and in turn, we harness an entire network of talent that supports and compliments each other in an exact duplication of the very model that we are developing.

Our team is just as scalable as our continuous stream of business models.

How do we do it…?

Ignoring the techno-babble and marketing spiel for a moment, we do it by offering subscription based services across our entire product line whilst supporting key areas of development within our network through ad-hoc custom design work.

At this stage, we continue to market ourselves as a “web design” agency…

It is with each of these custom built environments that we are able to finance our own ambitions by creating the opportunities for exposure across a broad spectrum of products and services.

We support ourselves by doing what we have always done.

Designing web-environments and digital presentations is something we have always done, but as a cohesive team, we are able to dedicate all of our enterprise-level resources into focusing on supporting our client base and their businesses.

What did we do wrong?

We trusted other people. This was a big mistake, but one that we would gladly make again and again as we strongly believe in strategic partnerships and the value of honor and all of those really interesting characteristics that accompany a person who you can call your friend…

Specifically, we trusted RegisterFly and Warp Factor, and were damaged badly.

We trusted Streamyx, and although we would be the first to admit that without them none of this would even be possible; but really – they certainly deserve to be listed!

Our biggest mistake of all was waiting for the right people to find us…

We posted positions at Best Jobs, Job Street, Jobs DB and even Jen Jobs, and yet, we were not getting enough people through the first interviews, let alone slipping into a comfortable role within our family (organization).

Now that (or at least at the time of writing this) NI-Limits is on the first page of Google for “KL Jobs” and “Jobs in KL”, as well as a host of other related keywords and referrers, the potential of a properly clustered grid of businesses really makes itself exceptionally clear and incredibly tempting…

What’s to come?

For one, we still need to find our 9,989 missing relatives (dynamic individuals looking for work within a cutting-edge local Kuala Lumpur based business).

We do not have our own satellites in space either, but that does not prevent us from being realistic …

In the two years that NI-Limits has been developing, we have not once concentrated on a single start-up venture of any kind, other than building the foundations for our business-model-grid, so it really is mind-boggling to try and image what we will be able to ultimately achieve once our network of ideas has been polished to perfection.

Our first realistic milestone is the launching of KLews.

We are hoping for an December the 31st launch date, which would help to symbolize what it is that the KL News Network represents.  KLews will be an online city-centric personal portal and business directory with moderated social networking capabilities.

The KL News Network will be our first step forward towards clustered computing and will offer streamlined versions of our entire commercial arsenal of products and services but will do so completely free of charge to anyone within the local community.  From free email accounts, hosting and web design, along with directory listings and mountains of marketing and promotional tools, KLews will engulf the city.

It is upon this network that we are then able to promote our commercial entities.

When will it end…?

We will consider it over once we own both Google and Microsoft.

Otherwise; it’s still fair game!

When ignoring the frankness of our reality, we are able to settle with far more realistic expectations, such as servicing every single web user within Kuala Lumpur.

Until that happens; we will always be hiring local (Malaysian) talent.

At all times do we welcome designers, developers, data and network engineers and anyone else with something special to show us to apply for an interview and come learn more about us.

We will be making greater efforts to introduce ourselves to the surrounding communities, but once again; our business-model does not lend itself to publicized introductions, so we need to resort to good old-fashioned personal introductions and word-of-mouth referrals until going live in 2008.

In the meantime, thanks for everyone’s support and interest.

Yours sincerely;
